  I work at a local company and I was asked to order and pick up lunch for a client meeting.  Because of the traffic in this area, I placed my order online (as I do for many places in town), paid, and went to go pick it up.
  
  When I arrived, the gentleman behind the counter asked if I had my confirmation number.  I did not.  I probably should have, but since I was not instructed to online, I came only with my ID and proof of payment method.  He did not want to give me my order, telling me that I needed to have me confirmation number because he could not prove that I paid.  I asked him if he couldn't look my name up on his computer and pull up the order.  It was a fairly large order that I doubt anyone else would have come in to pick up at random.
  
  He asked for my ID.  I gave it to him.  He look at it and back at me several times.  He still did not want to give me my order.  So I asked him if he wanted to see my card to prove the last four matched the last four on the receipt.  He actually held out his hand for it.  I held it up for him to see, and he studied that, as well.  By this time, other customers are looking at me.
  
  I then asked him if he wanted me to call out the order for him to prove that I was the person who ordered three foot-long and two six inch sandwiches.  And I did - down to the condiments.  He then told me that I had chips and I listed how many or each I ordered.  He finally put my order in a bag and handed it to me, motioning for me to go get the chips.  So I did, and put them in the bag.  He bagged the cookies and handed them to me and then asked me how many chips I had taken.  HE ASKED ME HOW MANY CHIPS I HAD TAKEN AND WANTED TO SEE THEM.  So I patiently took them out of my bag and arranged them on the counter for him to see.  He. Counted. Them. and told me I could put them back in the bag.
  
  I was so humiliated and angry that I just took the order and left.  I will never step foot in this establishment again.  I do not appreciate being discriminated against and I am so tired of people thinking that ALL PEOPLE OF COLOR are thieves and dishonest.  I work for a very large company where clients and customers come for lunch meetings and events all the time.  I will tell everyone I know not to go here, as well.  Businesses like this should not exist, and if they do not agree with this type of treatment, they should not hire employees who do because they represent the company.
  
  To add insult to injury - the sandwiches were very poorly made.  They were squished and barely had any toppings in the bread.  Cheap and racist.
